Privacy Policy
Effective April 14, 2026 · Last updated April 14, 2026
This policy explains what information Bellingham Concrete Contractors (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects when you visit bellinghamconcrete.com, fill out a lead form, call the office, or visit our shop at 1225 E Sunset Dr #370, Bellingham, WA 98226. It also explains what we do with that information, who we share it with, and what rights you have under Washington state and federal law.
We are a local concrete contracting business, not an advertising network. We do not sell or rent your personal information to data brokers, and we do not run retargeting or behavioral-advertising campaigns.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you give us directly
When you request an estimate, use our contact form, email us, or call the office, we collect the information you choose to provide. This typically includes:
- Your name
- Phone number
- Email address
- Project address or service area
- A description of the work you want done (often including photos you attach to an email)
- Any project documents you voluntarily send (site plans, HOA letters, permit paperwork)
Voicemail messages left at 1 (360) 228-2644 are stored on our business voicemail system. They are reviewed by Sarah Kowalski (Operations Manager) or David Chen (Lead Estimator) and deleted within 30 days of project close or disqualification.
1.2 Information collected automatically
When you visit the website, our analytics provider (Rybbit) records limited technical information for the purpose of understanding which pages are useful to visitors. This includes:
- Pages viewed and time on page
- Referring URL (how you arrived at the site)
- Approximate geographic location derived from IP (city/region, not precise location)
- Device type, screen size, and browser
- Anonymized session identifier
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other cross-site tracking tool. Rybbit does not use cookies for visitor identification; it uses a session-based hash that resets regularly.
1.3 Information from third-party embeds
Several pages embed a Google Maps iframe so visitors can see our shop location and service area. Google may collect its own data from that iframe under its own terms. We do not control Google's data practices. If you are concerned, you can avoid loading the embed by declining to scroll to those sections of the page.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information you submit only for the following purposes:
- Estimating and scheduling work. We call or email you back, visit the site if needed, prepare a written estimate, schedule the project, and pull the correct permits.
- Project administration. We share your name, site address, and phone number with the ready-mix supplier, permit office, and subcontractors (for example, rebar installers or geotechnical testing firms) strictly as needed to perform the work you hired us for.
- Follow-up and warranty. After the project is complete, we may contact you for a one-time warranty check-in, to request a review if you are satisfied, or to address any concerns. You can opt out at any time.
- Legal compliance. We retain project records, including estimates and contact information, as required by Washington State Department of Labor & Industries, the City of Bellingham Permit Center, and IRS tax recordkeeping rules.
3. Who We Share Information With
We share information only with the parties necessary to do the work and run a licensed contracting business. These include:
- Permit offices — City of Bellingham, Whatcom County Planning, and other jurisdictions where your project is located.
- Ready-mix suppliers — our concrete vendors need the delivery address and site contact to dispatch trucks.
- Subcontractors — when a project requires geotechnical testing, structural engineering, rebar placement, or excavation beyond our crew's scope, we forward only the information necessary for that work.
- Insurance and bonding providers — if a claim arises, our insurer may need to review project records.
- Legal, tax, and accounting advisors — under professional confidentiality obligations.
- State or federal agencies — only when legally required, including subpoenas, L&I investigations, or tax authority requests.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or transfer your information to advertising networks, marketing list brokers, or any party not involved in completing the work you hired us for.
4. How Long We Retain Information
We retain project records for seven (7) years after project completion to comply with Washington State contractor recordkeeping requirements and to honor our 5-year workmanship warranty (plus a 2-year buffer for any disputes arising near the warranty end). After seven years, paper records are shredded and digital records are purged.
Lead inquiries that do not result in a contract are retained for no more than 18 months and then deleted.
5. Security
Our lead form submissions are transmitted over HTTPS and stored in a password-protected CRM accessible only to staff members whose role requires it (currently Sarah, David, and Mike). Paper estimates and project files are stored in a locked office at our King Avenue shop. We do not store credit card numbers — all deposits and payments are processed through our payment provider, who is PCI-DSS compliant, and we receive only confirmation of payment.
No transmission method or storage system is 100% secure. If we become aware of a breach that affects your information, we will notify you within the timeframe required by Washington state law and applicable federal regulations.
6. Your Rights
Washington state law and generally accepted data-protection principles give you the following rights regarding information we hold about you:
- Access — you can request a copy of the information we have about you.
- Correction — if any of our records are inaccurate, we will correct them.
- Deletion — you can request that we delete your information, subject to legal recordkeeping obligations that require us to retain certain project records.
- Opt-out of follow-up — you can ask us to stop contacting you for post-project follow-up, review requests, or occasional check-ins. We will honor the request within 10 business days.
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] or mail a written request to our shop at 1225 E Sunset Dr #370, Bellingham, WA 98226. We may ask for reasonable verification of your identity before acting on the request.
7. Children's Privacy
Our services are directed to adult property owners, contractors, and businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.
8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The main site does not set tracking cookies. Our analytics provider uses a short-lived session hash, not a persistent cookie. The embedded Google Maps iframe may set its own cookies under Google's control; those are governed by Google's privacy policy, not ours. Our lead form may temporarily store form field values in browser memory (not on our server) so a page refresh does not wipe your draft.
9. Links to Other Websites
This site contains outbound links to authoritative third-party sources (NOAA, ACI, City of Bellingham, Whatcom County, FEMA, and similar) so visitors can verify claims. Once you leave our site, this policy no longer applies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external sites.
10. Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy materially, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top and, where practical, note the change in the footer of the homepage for at least 30 days. Non-material clarifications (typo fixes, wording tweaks) are made without notice.
